Fireside Chat with Francisco X. Dominguez, Judge of the Texas 205th District Court

Members had the privilege of meeting with Judge Domínguez and learn about his journey to become a judge, his most memorable experiences, and the impact of COVID-19 in court.


Judge Dominguez is judge of the 205th District Court. He received his undergraduate degree from Oberlin College and his J.D.from the Chicago-Kent College of Law. Dominguez worked in private practice through his own law firm from 2002 until his election to the district court in 2014. He previously worked for Manhattan Office of the New York Legal Aid Society Criminal Defense Division, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Texas Rural Legal Aid. Judge Dominguez is establishing a Felony Mental Health Diversion Court in El Paso County.
