Members had the privilege of meeting with Jonathan A. Picado, M.A., and got an insight into his experience preparing and applying to law school


About Jonathan Picado

Jonathan Picado is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso and will be pursuing his J.D. at the University of Iowa College of Law this fall. Jonathan earned his B.A. in Political Science from UTEP in 2018 and went on to obtain his M.A. in Political Science from UTEP in 2020. In graduate school, Jonathan focused his research on judicial behavior in United States federal courts and wrote his final thesis on the effects of gender on judicial decision-making in environmental cases pending before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Outside of school, Jonathan works as a litigation paralegal at Rincon Law Group, P.C., a firm that specializes in the defense of corporate clients in the transportation industry involved in commercial and personal injury litigation.
